Pre-Order Thread

Should be a solid classical release. FWIW. To US with premium shipping option came to $205.

“Pure Joy”

For the first time on LP: Beethoven’s Piano Concertos with Mitsuko Uchida and Sir Simon Rattle
Mitsuko Uchida described the performance of Ludwig van Beethoven’s five Piano Concertos with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle in 2010 as a “shared adventure”. Now this cycle is being released on LP for the first time as a limited edition

In addition to the 5 LPs and a comprehensive accompanying book, the attractive hardcover box set includes a Blu-ray with the video recordings of the concerts.

Spoon posted a vinyl guide on their Instagram. Looks like the Matador orange/black is still on schedule but some have been delayed. No shipping notification for me either and I ordered the orange/black as well. It looks like the only delays are indie retail and Urban Outfitters.

Looks like the indie Orange version has arrived at indie locals. Do any of these copies come with the signed postcard or is Newbury Comics the only option?

FWIW I got both my Spoon orders:

The orange/blk quad and

UK Dinked #ed cream/orange splatter with autographed poster.
My Black / Orange is still lost somewhere in the Jersey City Distribution Center, where it's been since Feb 9. I did email Matador but received no response (it's not their fault) I was so annoyed that I went to Princeton to pick up the indie orange last Friday. Hoping to get the Matador variant soon, but there has been no movement / no scan in 15 days.

Not Matador’s fault but they’ll have to foot the bill if it never shows up

As sad as it is, this is par for the course in jersey city distribution center. I have a lot of stuff come through there and it sits for weeks usually (that’s if it’s not routed randomly through places like Albuquerque…then back to JC and finally to NY). I had a Moses Sumney record stuck in jersey city for over 30 days last year. It arrived safe and sound. It is a total shit show there though it seems. Anything that’s media mail gets held up for ages.

Well that’s….a lot!
Yeah, I would pick up the AP pressing for a $100 less. I am sure the bonus material would sound fine streaming.
