Pre-Order Thread

Definitely waiting for one of those big price cuts on that Norah. I hope the bonus material is otherwise available.

Edit: Streaming versions have an alternate version of Come Away With Me and email verified all of it will be on digital so test driving it is.

Also since the normal pressing has been OOS, here it is for people who want that

The AP Pressing is $75 and limited stock, so it's in that upward spiral. Once it's gone I imagine AP will re-press it unless they lost the rights to do so and it'll go back to the $40 price point (or whatever they will be by the time it comes back).

With that said, I don't know what the re-master will sound like, but I don't think the AP is worth 3x the price of the standard pressing unless this remaster is worse than the original pressing. My Blue Note which was at retail for $20-25 (and is being replaced by the 20th anniversary) is perfectly fine. When the AS pressing was $30-$40 the premium was worth it, for $75? Eh, not as much. In my view, the issue with Blue Note/Standard pressings were the quality control and pressing quality as opposed to the mastering - though others reported notable sibilance issues, I can't say I felt it as much.

The Deluxe for $190 is bananas. Give me a one-step/UHQR and we'll talk three digits.

AP raises prices like that when they get down to the last of their run/licenses from what I've seen. My guess is their license is expiring since this 20th anniversary is out.

agreed the price is nuts on the deluxe though.

Better than a pic disc I suppose.
