I started to do this even when I was a member because 1) if it was from the label or bull moose it’d be on my doorstep on release day and not a month later and 2) almost always cheaper

I'm not going to say don't post VMP pre-order info in this thread because if you really want to then fine, but there is a thread for VMP store exclusives in the Vinyl Club section specifically created for this sort of information. I only say this because I know there is a large contingent on this forum that don't want to have anything to do with VMP and it pisses them off seeing them being discussed and with so many store exclusives this thread could end up being dominated by VMP releases. This is not an anti VMP forum, if you love their products then great, but just be considerate of the members that don't, maybe in a few months time it won't matter so much, but right now wounds are still fresh.

I'd actually rather them be in here than dedicating countless other threads directly to VMP, but dont really care either way.

I pretty much agree with this. I haven't been in those other threads, because I have no reason to, but I really don't want this to be even potentially misconstrued as a new VMP forum, with tons of threads dedicated to promoting a company that took our platform, while instructing us to go build a new shrine to give praise and free marketing to them.

At the same time, I really don't believe that they have so many exclusives that it will dominate the pre-order thread. It doesn't even come close on the reddit vinylreleases sub, and they get posted over there. There are tons of pre-orders coming in from everywhere all the time and VMP really doesn't release that many. They are only doing 2 this week and this first one already alerted people to a cheaper version elsewhere. I expect that to happen a lot. These posts are more diffused here, if anything. They are just another name releasing pre-orders. Some people may want them. If they ever do the Fiona or something like Stakes Is High, I'll probably even want them. The endless other threads dedicated to them bothers me more, but I just avoid that section.
