I only have a few Target Exclusives, most recently the new Jack White) and they're all pretty nice overall and sound great.
The new Jack White is great. My other favorites are their Pearl Jam - Ten and R.E.M. - Out Of Time editions.
Do you mean the Walmart stuff? The pressings are surprisingly good. I have their Tusk reissue and it's a Bellman cut done at Optimal.

The Nirvana Target ones were done at Pallas I think with AAA BG plates. They typically get plates either from box set breakouts like the Fleetwood Mac stuff, or whatever the most recent reissue is (like the BG plates from Nirvana pressings). It's a bit of a crap shoot since they don't advertise the plates, but I just look at what the most recent reissues are and specs should match.
Yup I did the same. If an indie edition is released locally I can just cancel this.
I did elusive disc and then DD as a backup but will probably cancel the DD order...it does suck to need backups lately but so many places are overselling inventory.
Yeah, even Amazon. I had my Daft Punk Homework preorder canceled. Thankfully PBC was able to come through.
My amazon warehouse is surprisingly good. I either get a record mailer inside of another larger box, or a mailer with the plastic bag outside of it. Only had an issue once and that was from a warehouse deal where they slapped a shipping label on the record's shrinkwrap and mailed it haha
Deep Discount isn’t a whole lot better and returns/replacements are much easier if it does show up with damage.
