Yeah, I am gonna have to hear more. His take on country music has always been a bit different. I thought his last record was just idiosyncratic enough to be enjoyable. This first song though is more like modern Black Keys (which ain’t my jam) than Dwight Yoakam. I enjoyed the Anime though. I would watch that on Netflix.

Saw his show in Kent, OH a few months ago and he's incredible, but I thought this album was a bit hit and miss. Lots of potential though.
