Has anyone else listened to the first teaser track? As a huge SY/KG fan, I can say it’s pretty fucking terrible.
I think it's great

What about Free Kitten?
One of my most treasured purchases is an autographed copy of Girl In a Band. As I opened the first pages, I was all giddy realizing she actually held the book too. She's SO very nice too.
I liked Free Kitten. Idk, maybe I just need to revisit the new track. She usually has a track in each album that I find impenetrable (Panty Lies, Dude Ranch Nurse, etc), but she also is responsible for many of SY’s finest tracks. I’ll give it a few more listens
Nooooooooo!!! I can honestly say I haven’t listened to that song in 20 years.Panty Lies is one of my fave SY songs
You are totally missing outNooooooooo!!! I can honestly say I haven’t listened to that song in 20 years.

Whomever asked that must’ve had no fucking idea who Kim was. How did she handle it?I picked one up when she did an event here in Seattle. During a brief Q&A section, someone in the crowd asked, with complete seriousness, if she'd ever faced any obstacles being a woman in the music industry.

I mean to be fair, it could just be a poorly worded way of asking what obstacles she’s faced and how she overcame them. Not everyone is eloquent in their thought and speech.I don't even think you really need to know who she is to have more sense than that. They went to an event promoting a book called "Girl In A Band" and asked about what it's been like being a girl in a band. The whole crowd was pretty much like, "Are you going to read the fucking book?"
People like to raise their hands just to ask questions, when they really don't have anything of value to ask. Someone always does it, but this time it seemed particularly absurd
God dammit I might need to get this10th anniversary reissue of Cold Cave's Love Comes Close!
