2022 promises to be a banner year for Damien Jurado. Not only does the year mark the songwriter’s 50th birthday, but it also sees the summer release of his 18th studio album, the impressionistic and tuneful Reggae Film Star. And hang on, there’s more: on September 23rd, 2022 Sub Pop Records...megamart.subpop.com

TruthOops. That should say red.
Weirdly enough my mailer looked bent too. It seemed fine inside. Disc has some slight warp but nothing major. My Cake LP arrived in a box that looks like somebody stepped on it and put a nice bend to the sleeve and I assume disc inside. Bleh. Also a single loosely attached piece of packing tape. Not Impressed
This came today and is straight fire. A wonderful samba jazz album, thanks for the boomboom alert that led to my purchase.boomboom alert!

co-sign. which is unfortunate because his music is killer, but seeing his facebook posts was such a fucking letdown.Unfortunately, that guy is a garbage ass person and his appearance reflects his personality spot on
Why is this one always so expensive? It's only a 3xLP set. Their 5xLP sets usually retail for around the same price.View attachment 146219The Grateful Dead Fillmore East 2-11-69 on PopMarket

In my humble opinion, its one of their worst archival releases as well. The opening act format kind of constrains them and every other 69 release is miles ahead of this one. The Hey Jude here is an absolute train wreck. Why is this one always so expensive? It's only a 3xLP set. Their 5xLP sets usually retail for around the same price.
I think it's because it's a Friday Music release and they think they're better than they are.Why is this one always so expensive? It's only a 3xLP set. Their 5xLP sets usually retail for around the same price.
My local had the first pressing of this in at $99. It did not sell. Think it made it into the bargain bin at $45 and yet it still sat.I think it's because it's a Friday Music release and they think they're better than they are.
