Pre-Order Thread

Also out on 9th September two more Kinks albums remastered by the man whose name @MikeH is not allowed to use. Muswell Hilbillies and Everybody’s In Show-Biz. Just saw them for pre in my local today so I’m sure they’ll start popping up everywhere soon enough!

Boomboom’s gettin Kinky 😉

It seems only Everybody’s a star is a BoomBoom. Is that one broken out from the box set? Muswell seems like a new 50th cut. Maybe BoomBoom cut it and didn’t master it though? Or KG had to change his identity to Tony Cousins to try to hide

“All audio has been produced by Ray Davies and mastered by Kinks expert Tony Cousins at Metropolis studios.”

Look I read the description of one and assumed ok. I’m a busy man, lots of lawyering and stuff to be doing 😂

The Manics have done a reimagining of Know Your Enemy for its 21st anniversary. Now as a double album, as originally intended, and remastered. Drops September.

Been waiting for this even though I own a OG. Shipping was already so expensive so I splurged for the signed CD and vinyl. Never mad to give my money to the manics.

Me too! I really like the track listing now c especially for the first LP and it’s great to see Masses Against The Classes on an album. I have the MOV of the original cut, I was CDs when I first bought it in 2001, and I’m hoping this sounds much better, there was so much squeezed on the single LP before.

I’m hoping my local gets it in but if it doesn’t I’ll eventually break and order it direct.

Wonder if there will be any good stateside options.

No original version of "So Why So Sad"? I love the sound of that song.

One of my favorite local artists is finally pressing to wax. It may be better to save for Bandcamp day but it’s available for pre order, If you like the bluesy vocalist styles in modern Americana - folk, soul, R&B styled music - she’s got a great set of pipes and some good tunes behind it. She also got some great backing musicians for this album so I’m optimistic.

This album was actually my introduction to the Manics so I didn't realize at the time what a big change it was or how all over the map it was in terms of sound.
Oh wow! Well I guess if you like KYE there’s a good chance you will something on all of their albums.
