I think this about hits it on the nose for me. Looking at my Spotify you’d think I love these bands with 12 liked songs for AM and 15 for Spoon. I can definitely tell them apart so it’s hyperbole on my part, but I can’t imagine myself ever reaching for one their albums to sit all the way through.I don't hate it. Not that I think they sound the same, but I'd put them both in the same pile of bands that I consistently like, but aren't high up in bands I get excited about. I definitely couldn't tell you which one I like better.
I do like a majority of their albums, and own 6 AM/5 Spoon albums with AMs debut being a favorite of mine.
