I found out about him because he opened up for RAA in Chicago and the rest is history. Dan seems like such a cool dude, hope he tours the states on his new record. As far as I know he has only played Nashville once and it was when I didn't live here.

He worked and toured pretty extensively with a couple poet friends of mine back in the mid oughts, they'd just been singing me his praises over breakfast one morning about two weeks before I got a call at the cafe I was handling bookings for looking to set up a very last minute show for him; had it not been for the poets, I'd have said no (it was only 5 or 6 days out when I got the call!) - glad I didn't. I've seen him about half a dozen times since, including being part of a couple of festival line-ups with him. He's always been nothing but good people whenever we've crossed paths. Very solid.
I haven't kept up with his last couple of releases but Nice, Nice, Very Nice is an absolute classic. Front to back brilliant!
