Pre-Order Thread

Alright, now I gotta listen. Here we go.
I don't know how into it you got -- or more generally how interesting it might be for someone more used to modern electronic music without the nostalgia aspect of it. I think a lot of early IDM from the 90s might not hit as hard now as it did then. Autechre and Aphex still do, but even they've evolved. Early Ae almost sounds catchy and sing-a-long-able compared to the glitchy MaxMSP seizure-inducing fuckery they do now. For me this is headphone music that reminds me of being 20 and going to too-hot clubs, talking too much bullshit and generally being a young fuckup (but you know, in a good way).

Think there is a Family Christian Bookstore repository where I can pick up some albums lying around after the bankruptcy?

My uncle Jerry Chamberlain was a member of Swirling Eddies and Daniel Amos .. I grew up listening to both, and knew the words to most of the DA songs before I even knew how to read.

I started going to concerts as a toddler so I saw lots of my parents favorite artists like Neil Diamond, Elton John, The Monkees, and Donna Summer.

The first concert I chose to go to was Weird Al at the Greek Theatre, on the Dare To Be Stupid tour 1985. After that was probably Tom Petty/Lenny Kravitz or Living Colour/Fishbone. Both of those were late 80's, early 90's.

the first concert i remember was my parents taking us to a Loretta Lynn/Dolly Parton show at Dollywood in the late 80s

the first concert I attended with my friends was this sick DMB show in 1996. Soul Coughing opened.
