IMO, It was an excellent year for female led Indie Rock bands, Horsegirl, Wet Leg, Big Thief, Sadurn, Momma, Dry Cleaning, Alvvays, etc... More than a few will be on my AOTY list next month.

You definitely should check out Julianna Riolino (though technically maybe not in the ‘female-led indie rock bands’ category?). She’s a member of the Daniel Romano Outfit and her debut is fantastic.
