Pre-Order Thread

This is actually the second frustrating website crash involving an expensive reissue in the past week for me. And AS desperately needs to redesign their site.
Last week, I was told they are redesigning site. Was in context of a “M-“ Canada Collection item that was shockingly fairly priced. Came with a significant crease in outer sleeve that I saw nothing about in the listing. I called them on it, and they said it was mentioned in the listing but acknowledged it wasn’t easy to see due to design of the page.

Despite all that, they refunded 50% for the crease and let me know site redesign is in process so things like that should be more apparent at some point.

Sounds like a win. Good for you for calling them on it. And good for them for being fair.

My mom’s family were from rural southern Illinois, she grew up on a farm. I wonder if there was a bit of German influence on it, with their Southern drawls it would always come out as Muther and Fadder but who knows.

Ok - now I have to ask…where So. Illinois?

Are we talking Cairo? Carbondale? Murphysboro? West Frankfort? Vandalia?

My wife is from the metropolis of Livingston, IL. Population 850 or so. I think it's actually considered a village and not a proper town. About 45 minutes from St. Louis.

I know Livingston.
Not too far from Mt. Olive.
Played against them on the Varsity Basebabll team in like 1989.
Bunch of big corn-fed farm boys if I remember correctly.
Not a big town but bigger than mine.

In 1994 my our High Football assistant coach moved to Mount Olive to become the schools vice principal. I was friends with his daughter who was my 6th grade classmate at the time. That is about all I know about Mount Olive.
