Pre-Order Thread

Yeah, that shit is awful. I liked that type of music at the exact time in my life that one would expect to like that type of music. 19.
Yeah, I never had any Limp Bizkit CDs I had a couple Korn and Deftones CD but that was as far as rolled with Nu Metal. I was way too obsessed with Dave Matthews Band in the mid to late 90s to pay too much attention to it. Plus the Mid-90s were Prime Pantera. If I wanted to get all aggro that was where I usually turned.

My wife had an acquaintance that was a HUGE Hanson fan, like even went to their getaway, resort type weekends. And after that all came out they completely cut them out of their life and won't even speak of them. So that's my only real perception of it.
Yeah, I feel like they've always been kind of cut from the conservative cloth. Apparently there was also some outrage in the lack of speaking up by the other brothers. Like they were complicit in their silence. I understand both sides.

I’ve sadly noticed a lot of unironic appreciation for Limp Bizkit recently. Nu Metal is a 90s trend that should remain in the dust bin. No revival needed.

I am here for Mighty Mighty Bosstones though.
I think ska grates on my ears as much as nu metal does to yours. I'll listen to the occasional MMB or Reel Big Fish song, but I can't deal with an entire album. Someone feel free to change my mind with some less egregious deep cuts.

Hmmmm….I might get this one to round out the collection.

As in you only need the first 3 albums and Sawdust.

Oh, I am not much of a Ska guy. Mighty Mighty Bosstones, No Doubt, and Sublime are the only groups that would fall under the Ska umbrella that I enjoy I have never explored the genre (at least the 90s wave) any further than that. I don’t know if I have even ever heard a Reel Big Fish song.

I really thought today was the day we were going to get that RSD list.
(I would have posted this in the RSD thread, but I didn't want to temporarily get the hopes up when people saw a new post over there.)

Why is this $40?

It's weird. This album is fine. But it came out before the vinyl resurgence, so they didn't press much.

This led to my copy being sold for around $150 once I realized how much people were willing to pay for a strictly OK album.

This vinyl rarity price increase made some killers fans believe that that means that this is a great album.

Now the band is also convinced that all their fans want it, and have priced it accordingly.

That green REM “Up” is either back or still up. At this point I’ve lost track, but if you wanted the green version, it’s there.

Let me know when they have BFF Blue, I need a Christmas present for @TenderLovingKiller®

I've always been kind of a fringe Killers fan (Hot Fuss is still a jam) but saw them recently and really loved their live show. I would grab this at $25 or so for Human and Spaceman but no way am I paying $40.
