I got an email today that the orders will be delayed (and that all pressings will be on white vinyl) and they won’t guarantee delivery by the 24th. They’re still expecting most of them next week and are sending out a digital download code on the 24th (release date). So that’s nice. Just FYI in case anyone was considering a buy. And again, apologies if this post should go on another thread.

Damn . Frustrated about that beach house drop. Went to the site a few minutes after 5 and it was gone. If anyone picked up 2, I’ll pay double for your efforts- I don’t own the album in any other format and was salivating over this one.

Keep checking back over on Reddit it looks like they restocked a few times today already. Supposedly the initial offering online was 400 of the 600 so they have more to drop. If you’re diligent you can probably still grab one (hopefully). Good luck.

Yeah, just the stock email button. There’s all this verbiage about how it isn’t currently in stock but is available for pre order and if I have a combined order with things that are not pre order the pre order will bill and ship separately. I mean, what is the point of a pre order if I have to wait for it to be in stock to place the order?

It was pre announced a few weeks ago. and the page looked like it does now that it’s sold out. But the preorder just went live today. Just an FYI, if you really want a copy and don’t mind obsessively refreshing the website over the next few days they will likely make additional copies available in super small quantities over the next week or so. Good luck.

Okay, that explains the email that came at 5:41 while I was at the gym. Sold out in 2 hours or less, then.

After catching up on the thread, I’m glad to see some love for The Black Pumas.

I really dig Adrian Quesada’s work. He’s a proficient Austin-based producer and an instrumental member of many other bands.

For example...

Grupo Fantasma - Grammy winning Latin music. Prince’s backup band for a while

Brownout - Latin style Black Sabbath cover band (Ozzy approved). Did something similar with Public Enemy’s Fear of a Black Planet.

Echocentrics - Collab with Natalia Clavier (Thievery Corp), Alex Maas (Black Angels), James Petralli (White Denim) and others

Spanish Gold - Collab trio with City & Color and MMJ members

Glorietta - Austin super group plus Nathaniel Rateliff

...all rabbit hole worthy.
