Pre-Order Thread

I disagree and this isn’t an attack on anyone’s here opinion but many AIC fans seem to a bit of a complex about them being the 4th most popular band out of the big four Grunge bands.
I was definitely a bigger fan of AIC back then the rest. I honestly don't even remember their unplugged. I was killing a lot of brain cells back then.

The first time I heard Pearl Jam, I hated Eddie‘s voice. Have now seen them 51 times to date.

I think what really made me love AIC was Jerry’s and Layne’s harmonies.

Nirvana is my 4th place of the big four.

I loved Soundgarden and thought Nirvana was okay with Bleach. Nevermind rated on my nerves at the time, I've grown to love it. I thought Eddie Vedder sounded like Tracey Chapman and didn't really appreciate PJ until VS. Stopped paying attention after Vitalogy until Avocado. AIC I loved at Facelift... loved DIRT. Jar of Flies is not my favorite. SAP is great. Only one of these that I saw live and it was awesome. I stopped paying attention at self-titled though. Nirvana meanwhile made one of my all time top ten albums with In Utero.

TLDR; depends on the time period.

Then: 1. AIC 2. Soundgarden 3. PJ 4. Nirvana. Now: 1. Nirvana 2. Soundgarden 3. PJ 4. AIC

AIC was my 4th place in real-time, while Nirvana was first by a few miles ahead of PJ and the garden of sound...

Over the past twenty years though AIC has definitely become my most listened to by a longshot. Soundgarden has climbed up quite a lot over the last 10 – maybe not quite as much as Nirvana, but very close. Pear Jam is the only one of the lot I ever saw live but they've lagged way behind in my older years, and I only ever really revisit the first 3 and their Unplugged.

Nirvana>>>>>>> Pearl Jam> Soundgarden> AIC

Always and forever.

I enjoy the other 3 but Nirvana is one of my all time favorites.
