I disagree and this isn’t an attack on anyone’s here opinion but many AIC fans seem to a bit of a complex about them being the 4th most popular band out of the big four Grunge bands. It really is. Better than Nirvana's imo.
That's not even a bias thing for me. I loved both AIC and Nirvana. That AIC Unplugged is just an amazing set.
I was definitely a bigger fan of AIC back then the rest. I honestly don't even remember their unplugged. I was killing a lot of brain cells back then.I disagree and this isn’t an attack on anyone’s here opinion but many AIC fans seem to a bit of a complex about them being the 4th most popular band out of the big four Grunge bands.
The first time I heard Pearl Jam, I hated Eddie‘s voice. Have now seen them 51 times to date.I was definitely a bigger fan of AIC back then the rest. I honestly don't even remember their unplugged. I was killing a lot of brain cells back then.
I loved Soundgarden and thought Nirvana was okay with Bleach. Nevermind rated on my nerves at the time, I've grown to love it. I thought Eddie Vedder sounded like Tracey Chapman and didn't really appreciate PJ until VS. Stopped paying attention after Vitalogy until Avocado. AIC I loved at Facelift... loved DIRT. Jar of Flies is not my favorite. SAP is great. Only one of these that I saw live and it was awesome. I stopped paying attention at self-titled though. Nirvana meanwhile made one of my all time top ten albums with In Utero. The first time I heard Pearl Jam, I hated Eddie‘s voice. Have now seen them 51 times to date.
I think what really made me love AIC was Jerry’s and Layne’s harmonies.
Nirvana is my 4th place of the big four.

I thought then and I still think now that it sounds like Cinderella (which is not an insult from me, I like Cinderella.)Jar of Flies IS my favorite.
Me too!Jar of Flies IS my favorite.
This is the way.1.Nirvana
2.Soundgarden
3.Screaming Trees
4.AIC
Jar of Flies IS my favorite.
Me too!

TLDR; depends on the time period.
Then: 1. AIC 2. Soundgarden 3. PJ 4. Nirvana. Now: 1. Nirvana 2. Soundgarden 3. PJ 4. AIC
