haha. I used my 1 month grandfathering to sign back up for Art Blakey because I'm a crazed Blue Note fan and I got the Yusef Lateef record too which ended up being available elsewhere. I think that and the Stars replacement are coming to me this month then I'm back out again.
Yeah, Im going to start trying. I've had no issue supporting them that much but I think its finally time to admit that it's not earned at all

I think most vinyl subs/clubs got too comfortable when stuff wasn’t getting big pressings or any pressings. They filled that void and it was great - the entire value prop was unique for the moment. But they didn’t keep up. Vinyl is easy to buy and find now, and the market is segmenting fast. The bigger clubs are still primarily targeting entry-level consumers now - just look at any social media post asking for suggestions. They’re awash in titles that are readily available or were very recently pressed, which points to a less-savvy consumer.
But that tail can’t be super long, so they all better figure out what’s next (smart money is on discovery. People like the low price point, limited nature and finding something new on the small labels).

Side note: If you're living in Peekskill, you should check out Hudson Valley Vinyl in Beacon. Not TOO far from ya and I thought they had a great shop with good prices. I skew mostly toward jazz records nowadays but they had a really good selection when I went in a few months back.
