Pre-Order Thread

But not polite enough to let you cancel an order before it’s been shipped or let you keep the vinyl and not have to send it back, even when it’s faulty.
I cancel items from UO all the time (and I always get emailed a coupon after). They wont let you do it in chat but if you call they do it no questions asked (as long as its no preparing for shipment). I also have an UO right by me so returns are super easy, I exchanged my faulty PCD with no issues.

I heard rumblings earlier this year from an insider (But I forgot exactly where, somewhere on Twitter) that UO got the rights for all the albums through "Circus". Its Femme Fatale and Britney Jean we may not see but Circus should be coming.
I can’t wait!!!!! I’m so keen for Circus!!! I’ll definitely be grabbing two copies of that album as well 😃

After listening again to all the Britney albums which were released from 2000-2008, Circus is my second after Blackout! Then In The Zone is third and Britney is fourth!

I actually really like Britney! And you’re right! Cinderella is an incredible track! It’s definitely not an outdated new jack swing kinda song!

100%. Circus is my second after Blackout as well. Can't wait for it.
And I knew Britney would grow on you! Cinderella is definitely her most slept on track.

Mmmmm it’s good if you’re in the U.S., but they’re not good with that stuff if you live overseas! I had to get my Oops I did It Again and In The Zone professionally unwarped at a vinyl store because UO wanted me to send it back and said they had no replacements. And they said they wouldn’t cover shipping costs. So it ended up being super expensive because I paid US$40 for a warped Oops I Did It Again at UO + $AU10 for the unwarping.

If it was VMP though, I would’ve gotten a refund though if they didn’t have replacements without sending the record back.

But I really want those Britney variants so I’m willing to get warped items and just have them professionally unwarped. It’s my choice in the end I guess! 😌

Britney has extremely high points (I’m a Slave 4 U, Lonely, Boys, Cinderella, What It’s Like To Be Me), some ‘pretty great’ tracks (Overprotected, Anticipating, Bombastic Love, That’s Where You Take Me). Let Me Be is boring and has no character to it, I’m Not A Girl, Yet Not a Women is generic and terribly outdated, and I Love Rock N Roll’s sexiness is ruined by a generic sing-a-long oversung chorus. So it’s only 3 tracks on the album I dislike, but the other 9 tracks are great in some way! Great album! 👌

Almost agree entirely on that. Britney was a pseudo-companion to her movie 'Crossroads' and "Im Not a Girl" and "Rock N Roll" are the most closely aligned to it and were both in the movie. I feel like that's why they are a little more dated and don't hold up as well as the rest of the album does.

Overall it's still amazing though, with very few off songs compared to alot of pop albums from that time period.

I was going to ask if @Mather got a warped one, but really what's the point? We already know the answer...for the record (pun intended) my VMP press sounds pretty good!
Actually I got mine through DrJ on the previous forum, it was sealed but the paper sleeve combined with some sort of grit just absolutely destroyed the first side. Looks like someone ran sandpaper over the entire thing, unlistenable to me.

Omg I had no idea about that! Dammit, why did they have to do that stupid movie!!! Haha

If they cut those two tracks, that album would be like an 8.6/10 instead of a 7.8/10!

And yes, these will probably be widely available.

FINALLY, i can get Era Vulgaris in decent quality. That and SFTD should be the only ones with new plates then? I really want plate info.

Awesome, Thanks.

Lol right? The one for Celia y Johnny. Its my third box in a row delayed because of just one. I have between 10-14 in each box so thats pretty unacceptable to me, especially since two months in row I've heard from them "We learned from this and it wont happen again"
10-14 VMP records each month? Ween yourself off of them and you'll feel a lot better. I promise! haha From what I've seen lately, you can get nearly every VMP album at cost or cheaper between discogs and reddit.
