Will probs pick up the Polyvinyl based on this, but I'll have to wait and see how the album shapes up. If Near to the Wild Heart of Life was released today, I'd probably skip it since I only really like a couple of songs off that one.

I like the first single- but it is on brand for them.
Already picked up the Polyvinyl edition, so there are only 499 of the 500 left.

I hate that you’re right, but probably same on this one. Those first couple were so hot, which is hard to sustain.
Way too much time between albums for the last one compared to the first two, which also has me worried about this one. It's 7 years now since their last one.

This song is indeed good. I also remember loving "No Known Drink Or Drug" but the rest of the album was lukewarm. I saw them for the first time during that album and they were fucking incredible though.

I’d see them live tomorrow, no questions asked.

(Want to know more about our label? Come join the Soul Step Subscription page in the Vinyl Clubs section of the site.)

Soul Step Records is proud to announce that the stone country classic album “Hell of a Woman” by Nashville-based Emily Nenni is coming to vinyl again after being out of print for years!

“Hell of a Woman” was released to critical acclaim in 2018. This album is a quintessential Nashville Stone Country record. This album is something that country purists will love. “Hell of a Woman” is a record made for those who long for those smokey Nashville barrooms where the neon lights shine bright into the night and the pedal steel guitar rings loud.

Emily Nenni is a singer-songwriter from the Bay Area and recently set roots in Nashville, Tennessee. Emily’s musical inspirations range from the girl groups of the 1960’s to the outlaw Country of the 1970’s. Emily Nenni sang her first songs on stage at Robert’s Western World in Nashville by bribing the band and doorman with cookies. She has since honed her Honky-Tonk skills in double-wide trailers on Sunday nights, clubs across the south, as as well playing for ranchers and wranglers in Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado.

Soul Step Records will be releasing the second pressing of “Hell of a Woman” by Emily Nenni to Soul Step Record Subscribers on Saturday, July 20th The general public sale will begin on Monday, July 22nd.

I'm a fan of Arc of Bar and In a Body Like a Grave off NTTWHOL - but Celebration Rock is the best of the 3 albums IMO.

He’s a hall of famer in that regard.

Being in a crowd and screaming along to The House That Heaven Built is a forever experience. It's something that makes me remember why I see live music.
