Pre-Order Thread

I’ve ordered the big bundles of the last several releases and re-issues and they’ve shipped to the US! I’d really like to get this 7” and I like having the demos that are on the deluxe CDs.

The 2CD book and a red indies vinyl has hit normal stores for pre order here this afternoon. Probably be the same for you in a few days I would imagine. Just preordered with my local. I would have liked the alternative cover but shipping from Britain doubled the price, they were only offering couriers and not Royal Mail sadly.

I need to listen to the new one. My recollection of the first single tends towards @jamieanderson1968’s opinion.

I actually liked Wire’s first solo record better than Bradfield’s but you guys all know I’m nuts. Mostly it was that it sounded less like a Manics album from the period - and therefore more interesting.

I remember James’ first solo being acomplished but not being particularly interesting. Nicky’s voice just is not great lol. James’ second solo album on the other hand is brilliant, well worth a listen. Nicky’s brother, Patrick Jones, who is a playwright wrote all the lyrics for it.

I kind of stalled out in my discography listening and need to get back into it. I even pulled Postcards out last night but then the weird cassette mix of Dead Kennedys made me go another way in my listening. I believe I’ve listened to all the Manis albums now but wanted to give everything some dedicated time and finish the overview book I’ve been reading.
