This is a personal favorite as Hell With The Lid Off was a staple in my high school and college days. My brother used to go watch him play around Dallas with other great industrial groups of the time like I.T.T. (later Audio Assault), Meat Beat Manifesto, and Consolidated

Dunno how much it's gonna be, but I'm on the international wait list and hoping I can snag one!

IGGOR CAVALERA / SHANE EMBURY - Neon Gods / Own Your Darkness

Two legendary titans of the extreme metal scene - IGGOR CAVALERA (Sepultura / Petbrick) and SHANE EMBURY (Napalm Death / Dark Sky Burial) - join forces for this unique split of brooding dark ambient, industrial strength noise, and heavy synth-laden electronics, creating what feels like the lost soundtrack to some dystopian fever dream.

Please let us know if they do "Welcome to My Dream" too!

I have been wanting a vinyl press of this!

I do want to caution that this is from a digital source, most likely a CD or an audio file. The master tapes/files are long gone or in a state where no one can figure out who has access to them. There was never a vinyl version of this in any way. I'd imagine at that time vinyl was mostly dead and everything was released either as a CD or cassette tape.

I have a cassette and CD of this - I asked G.I. (NTX) about the source.

Not a vinyl record but as someone who enjoys collecting expensive things to sit on my desk, Tactile Turn, a Dallas, TX based company that make machined pen is dropping vinyl record themed seasonal release…
I own 5 of their pens and they are all fantastic.

My Tactile Turn Slim Bolt Action has been at my side for the last year! I absolutely love it. It can take like 100+ refills. The stock ink it came with was fine but I put an OHTO refill in it and it is fantastic.

I also am constantly writing for my job so buying an expensive/refillable pen is worth it.

Nice, I have a Slim Switch and really like it. I prefer the Pilot G2 ink which is an option for the Mini and Standard sizes. I have heard good things about the OHTO refills but I’ve yet to try one out. I don’t need to write much for my job but I sit at my desk for most of my workday and I like to doodle and fidget while on phone calls so these machined pens kill two birds with one stone in that regard.

I will say that when I am not writing it does serve multiple ancillary functions. As you mentioned, the fidget. I give briefings multiple times a day (part of why I need a pen - to write down 'requests for information' ad hoc) or attend meetings so the weight of the pen and the J-mechanism (I think that's what you call that type of engagement) is nice to have in-hand and fidget with. Additionally, I am often fast-footing it around my work center to go from one section to another and I will often just have the pen in hand 'cause, again, that weight makes it feel like I'm running the work slalom.

I also appreciate the j-mechanism because I keep the pen in a forearm slot on my uniform. Standard top click pens have the habit of engaging if I close my arm. No issue with these.

Are you familiar with the excel sheets provided by the company for all compatible refills? I thought of getting the G2 and I've of course used them in the past just having a G2 pen but I heard good things about the OHTO and I like it enough to have already gone through a couple.

Yeah, depending on the size of the pen there are different styles of refills that each will take but they a lots of different options within those styles. The middle sized pen, their “Short” is my favorite size but that one only takes Parker Style refills and I don’t like those as much, I feel like they are more prone to skipping than G2s, I have tried the Schmidt and Uni but not the OHTO but I have some in my amazon cart just waiting to be purchased next time I need a refill.

Fountain pen life for me but those are cool
I have some fountain pens too. They are fun but not nearly as fidgety.

Also, being left-handed, my paper frequently end up a bit smeared and my wrist ends up dyed in ink when using a fountain pen.

I would love to acquire a Mountblanc Meisterstück as some point.

Hey, fellow leftie! Writing right handed always looks so much easier, just pulling a pen along for the smooth ride. We have to shove it forward, and smudge it all up. In 6th grade art class, for calligraphy the teacher had me do it backwards.
Do you use left handed or right handed scissors? I assume you are a bit ambidextrous, most of us are.

OMG. I remember not seeing his videos on MTV but I do remember him from the soundtrack to a Greg Araki film. I think it was either Doom Generation or Nowhere.

Ebullition Records are finally doing reissues of some legendary long out of print Hardcore / Screamo albums.

They usually only do wholesale but since these were so important and have been hyped up since early 2024 they decided to do a regular shipping service this time.
