Media mail for a single LP is over $5, then add in the cost of the mailers, packing, etc. Not defending big companies but there's no way you'll see media mail for under $8 any longer.

Some artists and label charge $10 plus for shipping and then send it media mail.

What is a processing fee? It was in addition to S&H and taxes on a recent record I ordered.

The way it looked to me, was they were passing along to us the 4% or whatever fee the credit card processes charge them.

You’re almost there. There is a point where you start putting records in bins/storage; in which case you really do become a hoarder or you start selling off the stuff you don’t listen to as much.

It’s tough to sell, I hate going through the process of deciding what to get rid of but once I do it I feel 1000 lbs lighter and the wad of cash in my pocket is a very nice reward once it’s all done.

When I lived in Seattle, so I had a multitude of stores looking to buy, every January I'd go through the entire collection and pull out anything that I hadn't played in a couple of years and sell most of it. You don't really need that first Bear Hands record.
