Ha! I just posted this over on VC in the thread about Doves pre-orders. Glad I'm not the only one who is expected to get multiple copies:D. I've been waiting for these forever so I'd rather have too many come than not enough of them.

Yeah, especially since they’ve been so highly sought after for so long. I just adore the first two records for different reasons. They’re nothing alike, yet both so powerful. I really do hope the UK site cancels my order, but if not, could use for trade bait or PIF. Time will tell.

What is the VC thread?

For someone who has never listened to Doves what acts would be a decent comparison

VC is Vinyl Collective. It's a vinyl message board but it tends to lean towards more emo stuff. People make threads abiut certain releases and I mostly just participate in the threads for releases I care about.

Even after all the chants?!

It could be controversial but I always say they're kind of a mix between the Radiohead and Coldplay. They really have their own sound though. They get compared to Elbow a lot but they're pretty different.

As a starting point Lost Souls is the better album but The Last Broadcast is a little more accessible.

UDiscover is so sketch. I signed up at store and no discount. Then I signed up at shop and yes discount but lo and behold the album is about the same amount more expensive there. That is some bullshit. I would like a copy of Some Cities, though. I have original presses of the other albums.

My issue with UDiscover has been they are bad at getting stuff out

I saw someone else mention the New Radicals when talking about uDiscover but I don't really know the story. I don't think Doves will be super limited but I've seen pre-orders listed as sold out so I think once they're gone they will be gone.

I bought it and it stated it was limited and sold out but then there seemed to be more available
