There's also a maybe black vinyl? Deluxe gatefold with 26 page photo catalog on Rough Trade. Anything about that on their site? I can't get the idles site to load, there is a 502 error.

There are gonna be so many versions of this haha. Worth noting the band exclusive clear version is numbered & mixed & mastered in Mono if anyone feels particularly strongly about those things
 
On the fence about the VMP version or the Mono clear version. Says the mono version is limited to 5000 and comes in a pvc sleeve so that's a red flag kinda

Yeahhhhh, I got on close to the ground floor when I grabbed the VMP press of the last one, which is now worth something silly... But I'm not going to chase variants on this one since obviously there was gunna be about a trillion of them. The signed would be cool but I'm not paying $65 for it. I'll just wait it out and see which one is the most reasonably priced.

Although really, if I ACTUALLY got in on the ground floor with these guys I'd have a copy of Brutalism that's pressed with the lead singers mother's ashes.

There is something kinda disgusting about people profiting off Joe's mam's ashes like that, I don't generally hate resellers but this rubs me the wrong way a bit

It's off-putting for sure, but I mean if you're going to press 100 copies of it, it's the only way this was ever going to go. Maybe if you pressed 10 or 15 and gave it only to close friends and family and whatnot, but with 100 there's always gunna be people selling them...

I mean, you're right, but I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't really thinking about it like that when they pressed it. It was a really cool idea, I don't think you need to blame Joe for not flipper proofing it. He clearly wanted fans to be able to participate, so I think that was a good thing, but it sucks that people bought it who don't give a shit about the gravity of the artifact, even if it was to be expected.
