why take pride in a restaurant especially one that practiced racially segregated seating and service quality based on race and also discriminatory policies towards the LGBTQ community all the way up until the early 2000s?i had fam that lived in Nashville during the '90s always knew that place was hella racist.

So I just looked up Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles @mdmost and it looks amazing! The menu looks great even though I didn't fully understand it. I then looked at pictures of their food and this one here looks so good! I've got some questions though:

1. Is that whipped butter or ice-cream on top of those waffles?

2. What is that square cake/bread on the bottom right hand corner? Is that cornbread? And is it moist?

3. And I'm guessing the other plates have Mac & cheese? I can imagine that being so comforting and delicious when done well!

4. What is that drink they all have too? Is that whiskey? Is having whiskey/bourbon with chicken and waffles + side the ultimate 'southern food' experience!?

Apologies if they are needed. I don’t recall saying anything disparaging about Crackle Barrel. I just stated the facts; that they are country general store themed and have had issues with racism/discrimination in the past. I also stated my opinion that their Cheese was good and their restaurant fare was nothing special. I hope our discussion about a restaurant chain genuinely didn’t ruin anybody’s day. Have a good Sunday Deb.
