Yeah, and I don't want to sound judgemental, but I would be more likely to go somewhere that has a strong reputation and is a bit more contemporary and higher quality. I would want to go to a restaurant like 'Gram and Dun' in Missouri and I wouldn't mind going there twice, like if it's amazing the first time, I'd go back and order completely different stuff! Or somewhere casual like Dame's Chicken and Waffles or Brown Sugar Kitchen in Oakland. or Connie's Chicken & Waffles. Like I'd still go for something more fancy like Gram and Dun, but am happy to try other casual, great restaurants!
Waffle House looks good, but there's so many other great places, that I don't know if I would go there because I love food and I'm a little bit fancy!
Like, I'll travel anywhere, like I've been to Afghanistan, refugee camps in Palestine, slums in India, trekking in Uganda etc - like I'm not a total comfort snob if you know what I mean. But I always do my research with food and yes, sometimes the cheaper, more basic places have the better food (I'll go there too, especially if the locals say it's the best). But I just would go to the more fancy strongly rated places for waffles because there's so many options and why not if I have the money!
