The forum numbers were enough to push a lot of them over the top, especially where you had a thread reminding you of titles, discussing them, and asking for inventory counts, along with winks keeping people from buying variants elewhere. Has a single exclusive sold out since the forum was erased? It seems like the ones I remember hearing about are still there, but I don't know.

I think it is three-fold, I think the forum was a huge help in selling exclusive (as you said), I think the poor announcement model (the wink system you mentioned being a part of that), and having too many exclusives with the "big" ones are just another color variant.

From like 92-98, Trey Anastasio was one of the best guitarists on the planet.

His phrasing and creativity during this period is really something to behold.

It’s unfortunate but he has fallen off of a cliff as a player and does not have a fraction of the dexterity he once had.

But as far as improvisational playing, I’d put that era up against anything.
