I wouldn't say a mass subscription cancellation but from I read here or on reddit, there were quite a few.

Yeah, I think a lot decided to. I haven’t. I just look at it as they decided to make a business decision. What reasons they have is probably never gonna be fully known but at the end of the day it was their decision to make. I didn’t like it because I spent a huge amount of time on the forum and got a lot of enjoyment out of it. But, it was always a perk. I don’t buy everything from them, only what I like and only if it’s the right price and typically, I think they do a good job of curating the Classics sub and reissuing stuff that interests me so I’ll continue to buy from them while ever that keeps up. I’m sort of regretting the Anthology purchase if I’m honest. It was expensive and early reports are they aren’t giving the premium product that the price would have suggested.

I did cancel but it was the nail in the coffin more than full reason. I personally think this years curation is one of the weakest for VMP - But I know many don't agree with me.

Yes, as much as I'm very pissed at them right now they in no way needed to forward people here and must know we're just crushing them on this forum so honestly that's cool of them to do. Credit where credit is due

Well we haven't been praising them or anything, but I'd say we're WAY less critical of them on the new forum than I was worried we might be. Or at least the hate is being contained to only a couple of threads that I'm sure will die down soon.

I think we have taken this split bloody well. Reminds me of a girlfriend who dumped me and then changed her mind 3 weeks later. err no thanks im good, kind of wasn't that upset afterall !

I cancelled too, I just can't give them my money anymore. I can't. They can do whatever they want with their products, they can increase prices if they want, they can pick the records they want, they can press the records where they want, it's their business and, as a customer, I only have the choice to stick with them, swap or delete a add/delete a track. But what they did here was trying to destroy a community of people and I can't accept that, it's against everything I believe in (on top of this, this community was only was their most faithful supporters). I was frankly happy with their Classics pick and despite all the quality issues, I would have stayed with my subscription at least for this track, but not now.

Alas, i think the mission statement for this to create this new forum as something positive and not as anything opposing or reacting to vmp.
The old vmp forum is still where most of us and especially the mods and makers of needlesandgrooves banded together so this is always a plus for vmp in my book.
