I was more laughing at the playing it cool whistling emoji. My top 3 would be reversed (4 is the same) but they’re all good at the end of the day!

Nice to see a fellow fan of The Choir. For me, Kangaroo is one of the best albums of the 80s, Christian or otherwise, especially the stretch from Consider to Sad Face. Circle Slide and Wide-Eyed Wonder are almost as good. I have most of their other albums, but haven’t spent enough time with them to have an opinion.
I will post my rankings for one of the most controversial Christian bands of their time...
Vengeance (Rising)
1. Human Sacrifice
2. Once Dead
3. Destruction Comes
4. Released Upon the Earth
Nice list, I would also have New Adventures in my top 5.REM is always a nightmare so let's do it
Life's Rich Pageant
Reckoning
Murmur
Automatic for the People
New Adventures in HiFi
Fables of the Reconstruction
Green
Document
Out of Time
Reveal
Monster
Up
Accelerate
Collapse Into Now
Around the Sun
Probably not super controversial, I like New Adventures and Reveal more than most and probably Document and Out of Time a little less. They're my favorite rock band of all time, so I like the later albums a fair amount as well.
Nice list. Here’s my SY list:I'm just seeing this thread for the first time, but I'm super pissed at how low some of you Sonic Youth fans rated EVOL Mine has some hot takes too:
1. Sister
2. EVOL (YEAH THAT'S RIGHT. FIGHT ME.)
3. Daydream Nation
4. Goo
5. Dirty
6. Experimental Jet Set
7. Rather Ripped
8. Sonic Nurse
9. A Thousand Leaves
10. Confusion Is Sex
11. Murray Street
12. Sonic Youth
13. Bad Moon Rising
14. The Whitey Album
15. The Eternal
16. Washing Machine
17. NYC Ghosts and Flowers
Hold That TIger and 4 Tunna Brix would be pretty high but I didn't count them.
edit: dont't @ me about Washing Machine. I will at least mention that 'The Diamond Sea' is a spectacular song
Nice.
I was more of a Whitecross/Holy Soldier guy. Probably because after Being introduced to Metallica I couldn’t take Christian Thrash seriously, but the Whitecross and Holy Soldier were more Hard Rock than Metal/Thrash. Then ...And Justice for all was released and I was basically done with “Christian Metal”

Shout! I had their first release on cassette. They were the Winger of the CM scene. I haven’t thought about them in ages. Undercover were great. Did you get in on the Balance of Power reissue?i preferred the Christian new wave (Undercover, Lifesavers/LSU, etc), but I did like Christian thrash too, like Deliverance and Tourniquet. Oh, and The Crucified were a favorite too. Ever listen to the hair metal side of things, like Shout? They sure were catchy, lol.
Nice.

Lol I saw Shout at Knott’s Berry Farm. Their hair was HUGE. I did order the Balance of Power reissue, yeah. While I wasn’t a huge fan of it at the time (Branded was their best, IMO), I am excited to listen to it with fresh ears.Shout! I had their first release on cassette. I wondered that too. I don’t listen to it terribly often, which is why I rank it lower. I do LOVE Expressway thoughWait... is EVOL hated by SY fans? I think it’s my second favorite after Daydream Nation
