That’s fair, their self-titled album and Marcy Playground’s self-titled album were the first two albums I ever bought with my own money (cassettes and bought in the same transaction) so I guess I just listened to them for a while longer than their popularity lasted. Wasn’t intended as irony or a shitpost 😅

it's not actually a bad song, but something has to go last. I don't know if it's because of the beginning of the song being a little bit of a lull from the hit after hit of the first 5 songs. It forces the album to take a beat that always felt awkward.

To me the biggest flaw in that album are the last three songs. Everything up to that point is close to perfect (Beach House is one of my favorite bands, so I'm obviously biased here), but once you get to "Wishes" it just runs out of steam for me. Clearly you feel differently, given that "Wishes" is your #1!

Clearly you're a huge fan, as am I. I love seeing that each of my favorites from his albums don't match yours. His catalog is giant, beautiful and so eclectic I'd expect most people to have varying opinions.
To digress from the main topic here, I'll put my top track from each one. Hey look we do have one match!
And of course, so many of his albums have a few songs I love so it's really hard to single top ones out...but I tried.

Yeah, it’s amazing how so many different combinations of favorite tracks can be had by different fans of the same artists and albums, I love it

Most of his albums have very few tracks that I straight up do not enjoy so even if a song is low or at the bottom of my list, something had to be and I likely still enjoy it lol
