Record cleaning - what's your method?

You’ll miss the flocculant, which is pretty necessary in a Spin Clean.

Possible you could add something to it to do the job?
Yeah, I agree with @kvetcha . Use Spin Clean concentrate. Plus Chisto is designed for use with vacuum machines.

I’m glad I bought extra. Chisto may be tough to get for a while unfortunately.

Honestly, I think @Ghost should just A-B it. It will probably work just fine, even without flocculant.

Bout to give it a go, going to make a gallon, take some records I’m not attached to and see what happens. Maybe I’ll discover the best thing since sliced bread 🤷🏽‍♂️

I think it worked? I only cleaned two records, one new one that kinda sounded like shit, it sounded like cleaner shit

Then I cleaned an old beat up pressing of Tim Buckley’s Happy Sad which still had a lot of surface noise but sounded really good other wise. No static on either one which was an issue I’ve encountered with spin clean fluid. My main concern was that the gunk wouldn’t leave the grooves with with Chisto x Spin Clean but the stylus has been spotless after both records.

Going to continue forth using Chisto in the spin clean tomorrow 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just bought my first real record cleaning machine, a VPI 16.5. I've been using a spin clean since I got back into the vinyl hobby a few years ago. Looking forward to giving it a go and seeing if it makes a discernable difference from the spin clean.

Anyone else here have a VPI cleaning machine who's got any tips?
