Record Store Day 2022

Glad I did get in quick, got the second of the two Billy Bragg they had! Delighted with that, was the one I wanted most. Also got Prince, Gerard Way and the Peter Gabriel one. Now to pick up an Double Bacon Egg McMuffin meal and go home and get cleaning and listening!

They are also not opening early tomorrow like they usually do, and their opening time is just before my wife has an appointment so it looks like I'll be enjoying an un-planned sleep-in.

I don't know if I want to ask someone here to grab me one and ship it or find somewhere to order from directly when sales go online. I'm not too worried about finding myself a copy, really, but I'm definitely disappointed I won't be listening to it on Father's Day morning as I'd planned to. :(

Isn’t today just kind of the spill over date for releases that weren’t done in time for the April date?

Kinda but also there is a lot fresh out today, it feels more like one of the second drops of the last few years release wise. In terms of in the atmosphere and buzz out there it definitely feels like an afterthought for the stragglers.
 
Can y’all let me know how the Prince is? And if anybody sees Bobby Hamilton - Dream Queen and can pick me up a copy it would be greatly appreciated. I’ll try to get to the one store near me but can’t go until afternoon

Even on here there seem to be way less people into this drop. And I noticed some smaller shops aren’t even participating this time around.
 
Funny thing is that the drops I was really hyped for are all today. But even I'm not lined up this morning. I'm gambling but think I'll find the four I want online.

The target sale also took a lot out of me haha. I have a big stack of albums I’ve bought lately that I’m making my way through cleaning…
