Record Store Day 2022

I just saw the 1st Marshall Crenshaw record got repressed. I have the MOFI so I don't need it, but that album hasn't been repressed since the 80's I think. It's awesome if you're into Power Pop.

Also, one of my Canadian online shops has Wish in stock! I already placed a pre-order and I thought it wasn't happening until January!

Black vinyl in January.
Stupid picture disc for RSD.

Anyone listen to stark reality yet? Is it worth tracking down a copy?
My copy sounds fantastic. This is the reissue I've been waiting for since I first discovered Stark Reality circa 2005.

The packaging is gatefold and is a close replica of the OG release, the album itself is finally in its original sequence order and AAA with lacquers cut by Bernie Grundman. It has a physical booklet that reprints the liner notes from Now-Again's old 2003 release of NOW as well as the 2012 release of Acting, Thinking, Feeling. Not sure about the pressing plant... I thought I read somewhere it was GZ but I could be mistaken (definitely doesn't have that trademark GZ "crackle" to it)

My only quibbles -- and these are very small -- is that I wish it was 180g and I wish the gatefold was tip-on.

So tl;dr: it is most definitely worth tracking down a copy.

I kind of missed out on what was happening with RSDBF this year. Anything especially worth it? Like great pressings of something or something that hasn't been pressed in a while?
Stark Reality.

Thanks for the review! I will keep my eyes out for a copy.

Does anyone know about the US release of this Asia 10"? I had to take my daughter to the train station and since my store was not too far from there, I decided to pop in yesterday afternoon. Before I left, husband said to me - look for that Asia release. It was not on the US list and I hadn't even looked at the UK list so I had no clue what he was talking about.

Got to my store in Princeton, picked up the Bing / Bowie and The Doors Paris Blues RSD releases, then went inside to look at the regular stuff and dig through used. In the new arrivals section there was one copy of this Asia 10" - but, it was not labeled as a RSD release. Same tracklist, also orange (but not labeled as neon orange) and has a different hype sticker on front.

Because he had mentioned it to me, it was still in my mind and I grabbed it, not realizing it's basically identical to the RSD UK release. (and yeah, totally overpriced but it brings back great memories of when I saw them on the Yale University campus and caught Carl Palmer's drumstick)

It was on the RSD BF UK list. I just grabbed one from Rough Trade UK. 10" release. Wish I could have found one in the US as you did. Like you, I have fond memories of seeing the band in New Orleans on their first tour.
