I am really struggling mentally with wrapping my head around these prices...
My 4 LP for Red (Taylor's Version) was $50....
That $100 Van Halen better be in poly sleeves and be extra special for that price...
I think it's sadly off the table for me.

I just looked at prices on Bullmoose and pretty much everything seems ridiculously priced this time. I'm much more inclined to say fuck it and not get anything or wait and only get what might go on sale for less after.

Iā€™m debating that too. As much as I adore the day and would love to have that Zevon for my collection, the prices are just too much on some of them.

Plus I also feel bad for not going to support my local on that day who will be sitting on the inventory. Iā€™ve been going a bit more to the one near work.

Pearl Jam - Give Way at $45 (despite Live On Two Legs ending up for $25 or less)
Husker Du live album that will likely sound like shit : $42
Ocean's 12 OST- $52
Isbell/Shires four song EP- $18
Sparks studio album- $38
Taylor Swift- $40
Verve Pipe's one hit wonder album- $35
Verlaines- $35

Yes live- $50

I mean yeah there are several in the $20-25 range but holy lord, Bullmoose is among the closest adhering to MSRP so these prices are best case scenario, with most indie record stores good for adding $3-8 on top.

These prices are absurd- I agree that the real RSD is the 50% off overstock sales that are coming faster and faster.

After looking at posted prices, I'm guessing Amythyst Kiah and Sun Ra will be the only two I walk away with.

That might just be the move. Iā€™m not particularly happy about the Cure and Pearl Jam live album being priced in the mid-40s, because that means my local will probably have them at $50+.

I have no doubt the audio quality is decent, I just tend to think of them as novelty items and would prefer reissues to have proper jackets and inners. Itā€™s a me thing, I know šŸ˜” šŸ˜†

Oh well. My first pressing of Show is showing some wear, hereā€™s hoping a standard pressing comes out later in the year
