Just noticed this one. This was a highly rated comp when it 1st came out. Lots of extras in this RSD edition.
ā50th anniversary of the groundbreaking and influential compilation of the first generation of psychedelic artists curated by Lenny Kaye. This box set includes the original 2-LP set, the planned but unreleased Vol. 2, and a single LP of songs that were considered for the original set, but didn't make the final cut. Like the original, this set is curated by Lenny Kaye and with the full involvement of Jac Holzman - the original pioneers of Nuggets. Lenny is also writing new complete notes.ā
I may grab this one. It will all depend on how much my local will ask for it.
Listened to Flash and the Dynamics this morning. It's being reissued by Craft and I am tempted too

I just looked at prices on Bullmoose and pretty much everything seems ridiculously priced this time. I'm much more inclined to say fuck it and not get anything or wait and only get what might go on sale for less after.I am going to be delving deeper into the list tonight an gathering prices... I am hopeful that some on my list are outliers in the outrageous pricing....
Iām debating that too. As much as I adore the day and would love to have that Zevon for my collection, the prices are just too much on some of them.I just looked at prices on Bullmoose and pretty much everything seems ridiculously priced this time. Finally got to take a more comprehensive look at the list, while also checking out the Canadian, UK and Japanese lists, here's where I seem to stand:

Beyond these, there are a dozen and a half or two dozen releases I would happily scoop up in blowout sales down the road but would also not miss terribly if I don't get them at all.

Another fucking picture disc
Tbf, Iāve bought a few Cure RSD picture discs and never had any issues with pressing quality. But yes, you donāt get a nice album cover and need to replace their inners. So both In Concert and Show are picture discs? Fucking hell
This must be so weird with them being in Rock Center now! Just bizarreOh boy, I can't wait to line up in midtown for a nearly $50 record with a 115k run.
That might just be the move. Iām not particularly happy about the Cure and Pearl Jam live album being priced in the mid-40s, because that means my local will probably have them at $50+.These prices are absurd- I agree that the real RSD is the 50% off overstock sales that are coming faster and faster.
I have no doubt the audio quality is decent, I just tend to think of them as novelty items and would prefer reissues to have proper jackets and inners.
