Record Store Day 2025

I’m going to be in St Louis for the NCAA Frozen Four the weekend of RSD but I’m gonna need that RATM Live ‘93 & that TIM 2xLP. Might have to grab ‘em on Plaid Room after the fact (fingers crossed) but anyone know any good shops around St Louis that might be worth the visit that Sat AM?
Vintage Vinyl on Delmar will be your best bet as they get the most stock. Planet Score in Maplewood while not as big has the advantage of being across the street from one of the best breweries in the county Side Project if that is something you are into. Both centrally located within 15 minutes of downtown

Really appreciate the info! Ironically enough, I DO love craft brews (pretty much all brews) and if there was ever a weekend for enjoying some regional flavors, the FF is always a great time for getting a little chitty

Exciting to see some 90's favorites finally getting a proper vinyl treatment.

My short list as of this moment:
Toad the Wet Sprocket
STP
Better Than Ezra
Dolores O' Riordan

And maybe the Rage live and Postie Nirvana tribute, the latter of which was surprisingly incredible all things considered.

Quite the list this year. 1st pass through I bypassed at least a dozen interesting titles as the list grew quickly. (I may need to revisit a couple of them.)

That left me with a very reasonable 39 titles….humm….

Going to take some work with so many good titles for sure but the ones below will most likely be on the final list:

Grateful Dead - Beacon Theatre, New York, NY 6/14/76
Hindu Love Gods
Jethro Tull - Vault
MJ Lenderman - And the Wind (Live & Loose)
Tesla - Real 2 Reel Vol 2
The Doors - Strange Days 1967 – A Work In Progress
Wire - Nine Sevens
Yes - Live at the Rainbow, London, England 12/16/1972
Gerry Mulligan/Thelonious Monk - Mulligan Meets Monk

I left off all the annual live high end audiophile jazz titles and a bunch of other solid possibilities. And, the colored rsd version of Soul Slabs. 😖

Interesting list this year. I like the look of:

  • Tribe
  • The Coral
  • Frank Turner
  • Mark Knopfler
  • Soul Slabs
But I likely won't be joining the masses in the Rough Trade Nottingham line, so I'll wait for later in the day, or when they go online later that week. One of my work colleagues will be lining up at a smaller independent in the London area, so he's already offered to grab bits for me so that increases the chances - but I cannot see any of the above selling out on day dot!

Going off of AFK's prices, I'd be spending $624 if I got everything I wanted. 😆

Whittling it down to just my essentials it would only cost me about $218 👍

28 Belly - King
60 Better than Ezra- garden
40 cali agents - how the west was won
40 cypress hill - Live at the fillmore
28 de la soul - bigger respect
55 ice t - Live
28 ice t - power
28 Lianne la havas - is your love big enough
35 Craig mack - project funk da world
40 Dolores O'Riordan- no baggage
35 rage Against the Machine- Live 93
45 sly & the Family Stone- Live 67
40 talking heads - Live
40 thievery corporation- cosmic
35 peter tosh - Greatest Hits
15 Westbound sound
32 the wreckers - stand still look pretty
?? Zions I - Mind over matter
