Record Store Day 2025

I agree, but that Revolution live album came out on the Deluxe Purple Rain. Not everyone wants everything but might want the live stuff?
True, although in that case the PR Deluxe was only CD (and the concert was only the video, so if you wanted just the music for a stereo play ya had to buy the standalone) and that probably cost about as much as the Carrier Dome standalone.

But, yea, I get ya. Still not excited about the release. Still 99% chance I buy it.

Bloody L man, I don't think I've stood in line for an RSD in 2-3 years, but am gonna have a go at it this year. Things that caught my eye initially:

Cunninlynguists 1k
Better Than Ezra 1800 RSD 1st
The Wreckers 3k
Swift 7”
Chevelle 1800
Collective Soul 3k RSD 1st
Eden’s Children 1100 RSD 1st
Hindu Love Gods 5k
Harvey Danger 1k RSD 1st
Levitation Room 500 RSD 1st
Nektar 1k
Pale Saints 1k RSD 1st
U2/Passengers 3500 RSD 1st
Pond 1700 RSD 1st
Rain Parade 500
Lou Metal Machine 2500
Replacements Tim 6k
Toad Wet Sprocket 2k
Zion I 1k
Wu Tang 5k
Verve 3k RSD 1st
Zevon 2250

This is the one thing that will get me to line up:

Definitely getting Lisa Germano. Other than that a few live albums are interesting:
MJ Lenderman
Bowie
Talking Heads
Dino Jr (?)

Other stuff:
Tesla
Jazz Dispensary
Collective Soul (Can probably get on sale later on)
The Wreckers (I forgot about this album. I have the CD which may be good enough)

I saw on the UK list they are getting a B-Side record for Everything Everything's 'Get To Heaven.' Hope that means a possible reissue of the regular album for it.

Lots of things that I want but will walk away from probably due to cost. Definitely want the Bowie and The Mats. If the weather is good this year I might head into Toronto but if not will just grab stuff online.

There are several "RSD Firsts" that I would be tempted by but hate the idea of paying double price for something that will be cheaper on black vinyl in 6 months.

Damn, too bad that Rocket from the Tombs is a UK RSD only release.

Solid list IMO, the best in the recent years.

CunninLynguists - SouthernUnderground
Pharoah Sanders - Izipho Zam (My Gifts)
Archie Shepp and The Full Moon Ensemble - The Complete Live in Antibes
Various Artists/Gilles Peterson - Gilles Peterson presents International Anthem
Various Artists Jazz Dispensary: Night Lights
Various Artists Soul Slabs Vol. 4
Wu-Tang and Mathematics - Black Samson, The Bastard Swordsman: Wu-Tang

Not sure if it's good enough for me to wake up early.

This enables the engineer to take preemptive, corrective measures so that the final pressing mirrors the intended audio equalization of the original studio performance.
This 2 LP set is an authenticated and numbered limited edition Mixprint ™ release. Every album jacket features unique “1 of 1” cover art, making each design truly distinct and highly collectible – a first in the vinyl record industry. These covers are created through a harmonious blend of hand-crafted artistry, proprietary technology (without the use of A.I.) and advanced printing techniques.

Also, I am surprised to see Young Thug - Barter 6 in the list. Wasn't there a pre-order for it through VMP?
