The Dirty Three is still listed on the RSD site as part of the September drop at 400 copies

But Fatbeats just released offered it for pre-order with an October date (same as Bullmoose) at 1k copies

I said that I thought this was an RSD release and FatBeats responded with

" thought so too - it's one of our unanimous all-time favorite albums here at HQ, so been stoked on this reissue for a minute - was going to be but looks like it got moved to a standard release in lieu of being a part of the third drop. "

Now, I'm trying to clarify whether or not it's the same release. I'll just buy it in September, instead of waiting, if that's the case

UPDATE:

SOLD OUT

Bullmoose still has their link on the site and it's for 10/23, as well, so, if it turns out that it won't be an RSD drop anymore, it might go live

Via Fatbeats

" that /400 release isn't happening for RSD, should update on their site shortly, but noticed they didn't update a few of the cancellations/moved dates for a bit after we got news on those. "

WAIT A MINUTE!?!?! But you need every Run The Jewels album on vinyl!?? 👀

I did not know Mather would like Run The Jewels more than Al Green! I am gagging right now! 😱
I'm just not a big R'n'B ballad guy. Like Al Green is undoubtedly great. But Call me has enough hits and slightly funky stuff on it that I feel I don't need his other more ballad heavy stuff. Plus I have the Chris Bellman cut Curtis Mayfield boxset already and his slighty dirtier funky style is a bit more on point to my tastes and kinda fills that niche. Also Superfly 2 LP 45 Mofi, which is delicious.

Also with RTJ, I don't have as much new stuff in my collection and there's some artists that are a little outside what I normally have in my collection so I like to have options if I feel like it's time to fuckin' party. YOU FEEL ME

Mmmmm I get where you’re coming from now, especially with the Curtis Mayfield description! Agreed that the 45RPM MoFi is delicious! 👌

I feel you on Run The Jewels! It’s always fun spinning them! Gets you hyped up! 👉🤛

I hear ya. I wasn’t really needing anything but still managed to buy 3 RSD releases. At one point on Saturday night I had about 8 records in my basket but managed to resist 😅

I just want to put a strong shout out endorsement, and by that I mean an "oh with all that is holy cry to the heavens" endorsement, for the Hooker N Heat release. I can't tell you if it is AAA or if it is the best copy ever -- I can tell you that it sounds awesome, reach into your bones at moments awesome, some odd separation at times with Hooker always in the left -- but it is amazing. If you have the spare dollars get a copy, used, OG, or the RSD -- and it will sit you right down. It rolls out across four sides, some pops but a guitar and vocal clean and powerful and the music filled with purpose. It's why you (I) buy records.

I also suggest the Pure Pleasure reissue from a few years ago:

I cannot wait to get my copy of the album! I got the Pure Pleasure pressing which I’m sure will sound great like the RSD release!

Do you have the Pure Pleasure pressing for Hooker ‘n Heat @Skalap ? Or are you just recommending it because Pure Pleasure does great reissues?

I do have this record and ‎Get Back Home In The U.S.A. too from John Lee Hooke. Both are great, as usual with PP.

That’s so great to hear even though I knew Pure Pleasure would’ve done a great job! I’m looking really forward to receiving my Pure Pleasure pressing for Hooker ‘n’ Heat! 😄

I didn’t know you were a big blues fan as well! I always saw you as a jazz, funk, world music/afro/latin & soul kinda fan, but not so much blues! That’s sweet to know you love some blues as well! 😊👍
