Quite a few power trios to choose from, I went with one that I've seen live.

The Bill Evans Trio was the first thing I thought of when seeing today's challenge. Had to go for my favourite by them, the killer live recording 'Sunday At The Village Vanguard'.

Khruangbin - Live at Lincoln Hall

Some stellar picks today. I actually don't have as many records from power trios as I would have thought. Love the format, even if I prefer twin guitar attacks most of the time. Gonna go with a more recent, less traditional "blues power trio" pick.

Fridge - Eph

This trio is probably best known for being where Kieran Hebden (Four Tet) got his start, but they deserve to be remembered for their brand of rhythmic, sonically adventurous post rock (think more like Tortoise than like Explosions in the Sky).



As a bonus fun fact: The members of Fridge went to Elliott School in Putney. Other attendees of that school include Burial, Hot Chip, and the xx.

Lots of era’s covered , lots of genres covered ..we all have good taste as expected ...we have a thread within a thread thanks to @ranbalam and the walk of life has thankfully been banished.
