The kids like to quiz me by giving me an animal and I have to come up with a record with that animal on the cover, so I was already prepared for today’s challenge
Day 4 - “Wild Wild Life”
I'm wearing a fur pajamas. I ride a hot potato.
It’s National Wildlife Day! Play an album featuring wildlife on the cover and/or songs about wildlife.
I actually had seriously considered Frogstomp for today but @SpintheBlackcircle scooped me. So went with DMB's Big Whiskey & The GrooGrux King, featuring the jams "Shake Me Like a Monkey" and "Alligator Pie."

Mercyland - Enter the Crafty Bear
Was looking for an excuse to play this as I was going through my 45s. No song on this ep about Bears. Featuring David Barbe on vocals and bass, later in Sugar with Bob Mould.
Already a day behind...lol Day 3 - “Burning Down The House” Some things sure can sweep me off my feet.
Play an album that is “hot” at your house right now - an album that you’ve had on steady rotation lately.
Haim – Women In Music Pt. III
This one has been in heavy rotation for about a year now. Still so damn good.

Pulled this one out of my wife’s stack. 80’s Joni is a weird one. Lots of interesting guests on this album like Michael McDonald, Thomas Dolby, Wayne Shorter, and an Evangelist speech from Rod Steiger on the song Tax Free.
Day 2 - “Road To Nowhere” Well, we know where we're goin' but we don't know where we've been.
Play an album that references driving, the road and/or traveling.
Driving in a car always makes me think of Modest Mouse, probably because they were the first band I ever really fell in love with and they reference driving a lot, or used to. Truth be told I would have used Building Nothing Out Of Something had I owned it on vinyl, purely for “A Life Of Arctic Sounds,” but alas I do not.
Anywho, this album is a great soundtrack for the open road.
Modest Mouse - This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About
I also own the Band for a Cause press.
Fuck cancer!
Yeah, although ‘74 isn’t my favorite year for the Dead, although it’s up there,
it definitely sounds the best.
Bar none.
Bear was a fucking genius.
It’s a shame it was such a burden to pack up and unpack day after day.

The Incredible Jimmy Smith* – Back At The Chicken Shack
Only heard this once before I decided I needed a copy, and it's been getting spun so much {by my standards} that there's not really been any point in putting it on the shelf. Made me realize how heady Aphex Twin is in comparison. I'm excited to check out more of this guy's work. Between the cutting, pressing, and interesting booklet, one wishes most LPs could be done this way. Oh, and it has “Theme from Ernest Borgnine” on it.
Not much explanation needed here except that plants need more appreciation
Yeah, double-45. I feel like it has a high noise floor, maybe that's the master tapes and it's mastered so well it's not really distracting. I think the album may be so short it could've been cut as a single 45 though?
