Sexy M.F.'ers...The Prince Fan Thread

Checked out a review of the celebration in hopes to hints about new releases. This is all I got:

"Evasive answers. At a listening session for several unreleased songs, a fan asked Charles Spicer of Prince Legacy about plans for releasing new music (it's been two years since an album from the vault dropped). Spicer offered spin control about the challenge of transferring the recordings from old technology. On Twitter, English speculated that the real answer is "internal strife" in the Prince Legacy whereas all concert footage is on hold until after the contracted Netflix documentary."

Turns out, the most effective way to secure the Vault was not leaving a will.

I'd be fine with them taking their time to work all the legel issues out if they'd reissue the rare and out-of-print albums.
American Copyright Law is obviously a wrench in that machine. It's more about them coming together and realizing they will make a boat load of money and arguing over cuts is only going to minimize that.

All the talk of the elusive EU represses got me listening to my OG copies today.

Graffiti Bridge was earlier and my unsealed copy of Lovesexy is on right now. About to move onto Batman. Honestly they all sound great and jackets are all in good condition (no Goldmine good cause that would be shitty, but civilian speak good).

I know there is not a Black album RE but I may have to cap the day w my 94 issue.

Also Lovesexy closer Positivity is an absolute floor pounder.

BTW looks like those imports will be on PopMarket too for any US folk.

Lovesexy is one of the most underappreciated albums in his catalogue.

Graffiti Bridge may well be my most heavily played Prince CD in the car (where I everything other than Crystal Ball) I'm definitely overdue for a vinyl copy. "Joy in Repetition," "The Question of U," and "Thieves in the Temple" are upper level top tier Prince songs for me.

Joy in Repetition is one of my favorite songs by him. Great mood and I think some of his best lyrics. The live version from the Aftershow release is one of my favorite things. The solo and just the way that song pulls you into its world is why music moves us the way it does.
