Exactly! Imagine being in that room when the stereo's going and being able to do ANYTHING other than give it your full attention.
"WHAT? OH, THOSE THINGS IN THE CORNERS? YEAH, THEY'RE OUR NEW SPEAKERS. SORRY, WHAT DID YOU SAY?"
cutaway of my Sonabs
This post just made me spend money. Not on speakers, but for that LEGO set which I didn’t know existed. My daughter will love when she opens it on her birthday.A gift from my wife for my studio, a pair of Paradigm Mini Monitor Bookshelf Speakers. I loved her a little bit more that day

Lol my dream speakers too are the L100’s, man just so sexy! I almost pulled the trigger several times on music Direct and paid the 4 grand for them only to balk because I do love my Wharfdale Denton’s but I was listening to Slum Villages Fantastic Volume 2 and I keep getting this Nasty Feed back on Raise it up which has me thinking maybe now is the time to splurge on the L100’s.
Those tweeters are giving me Bioshock vibes. Now I want them, too.So we’re on dream speaker huh
I’d love a pair of the Tannoy Prestige Kensington GR. Only roughly £12,000, trifling sum...

While we are at it I might as well spend another £3000 on a pair of the super tweeters to go with them....

A bargain for the price!
Speaker porn huh? Can't speak for the sound on all of these, but here are some favs based on looks.
I honestly have been impressed with everything Rosso Fiorentino makes, but this finish looks even more stunning in real life.
Zu's Walnut also looks excellent both in photos and in person. I haven't seen the Soul Supreme in person, but I'm partial to this shape/layout visually.
If you haven't picked up on the theme yet, I love me some walnut...
How do you dress up some walnut... maybe with a nice marble base
But we can't overlook some of the more exotic woods as well...
Totally agree. Their build quality is impressive, and it's obvious that they are being built by true craftsmen vs factory workers.Zus finishes look way better in person than online.
I think these are the Dynaco A-25 speakers and they fit my aesthetic down to the ground. No idea about sound quality, but that stand (not sure if it's the original..)!

Second hand ones seem reasonably priced, too. Once I have a bit more space to house them, I'll seriously look into getting a pair. Those are Dynaco A-25s and they are very warm sounding. Quite enjoyable. I've spent many hours listening to them as my brother had a pair. The stands are aftermarket.
They were very well built. The 10 inch woofer has a rubber surround, so they aren't prone to rot as a foam surround certainly will over time.
The Dynaco logo is often missing from the linen grill cloth, but inexpensive aftermarket reproductions are available.

Thanks for taking the time to give me a bit more insight on these. I appreciate it.The cabinets often show damage (ring stains from drinks etc). They are veneered though and can be refinished.
They were not expensive new ($160/pair) but were the proverbial "giant killer" of their time.
If you did buy them I'd be a jealous man, that's for sure!
The current JBL DD67000 seems to be somewhat inspired by this look.my Technics model
from 1978 and still truckin.
don't think many made it out of Japan
Technics SB-E100
