I don't know why it played out the way it did if this was true. Perhaps it was supposed to be a joke? Or play on the desire for the love triangle? I guess it all plays off the idea of Leia being a potential savior of the galaxy that was untapped, which to me also ties into 8's themes that anyone can be a Jedi, regardless of bloodlines.

BTW that Twitter user posted a lot of videos from the Q&A with some interesting answers with how 9 fits in with 8 and the saga as a whole.

I have to say I felt bad for Billy Dee, who based on interviews wanted nothing more than to be involved in these films, and really seemed to be the only legacy actor who had a fucking blast doing so. I would have loved for a bigger role in any of the films and really wish they had him do more this round

So yeah, just use the Irishman de-aging on him, then we can get decades of sugar daddy plot lol.
 
Ok gonna watch Force Awakens tonight, Last Jedi tomorrow, and then head back out and see Rise Of Skywalker again. I've heard as a trilogy it just doesn't work as a complete arc, but I still want to do this to see how it all feels together. And to see if my mind changes
 
Quickly jumping into this thread so I miss Mandalorian spoilers (hey @Joe Mac - ever find out a way of seeing it this side of the pond?).

It's fine. Total fan service, and the more I think about it, the more faults I'll find, but for what it was it was enjoyable. I kind of wish they had just given JJ all 3, let us have a fan-fic trilogy, and let Ryan Jonhson go and do something interesting with the universe. Did feel like this threw away a lot of the opportunities that TLJ set up.

US iTunes gift card, vpn, us App Store account. Dl app from us store and sub using credit. Stream from iPad using vpn to Apple TV. ie much more hassle than its worth...

Ooft, fuck that. It had started when I was in Oz (probably the only time Australia gets something early), but I would have only seen the first couple of episodes.
