Also:

Vernestra Rwoh will be in The Acolyte!!

[edit:] Phase 3 is gonna be a long haul though... first wave rolls out in November; second wave hits Summer 2024; final wave touches down Spring 2025.

Was this just announced as well or has it been known for awhile?

Meh…more Filoni bastardizing EU material to fit his characters and this pre-sequel setting. Even name dropped Heir to the Empire here.

Rebels is such a frustrating show and now it’s characters are in every SW show it seems. Really not a fan of that one.

And even more new faces powering up their lightsabers even though that makes no sense at this point in Star Wars…but gotta sell toys right?

Besides Zeb havae any of the characters appeared in other shows yet?

Maybe I phrased that poorly…it’s more that elements from that show are appearing everywhere recently, just a reminder that this frustrating show is firmly canon.

And little Hera did appear in the Bad Batch.

I don't really watch Bad Batch. Can't get into it. Those were the worst episodes of Clone Wars.

I'm unfamiliar with the EU material so I don't have any of the aggravation that comes with the bastardization of original material here, but I know the experience from other things and understand the frustration. These days, for me, if it ropes me in for 30-60 minutes and is an enjoyable ride I'm good. And most of the D+ stuff has been doing a good enough job of that.

As per yours, my and @Jan's myriad posts throughout this thread The High Republic stuff is what's really rocking my socks the most these days anyway. The TV stuff is just a fun bonus. Except Andor. Andor was amazing.

That’s what I want from Star Wars, good writers writing good original stories about characters from the farthest reaches of the galaxy, but the Filoni method of “everything interconnects, all characters have met eachother at some point, make the galaxy feel as small as possible” approach has proven so popular that’s mostly what we’re getting.

The EU bastardization is just the icing on the shit cake. Rebels took Thrawn, a military genius who’s uncanny sense of strategy almost decimated the entire New Republic to…a mustache twirling villain who gets outsmarted by our ragtag group every week. And that’s the Thrawn we have now.

That sucks.

I haven't watched Rebels. And Thrawn is the one piece of EU I do know well.

Yeah; the new movie news is a little underwhelming (glad to see some continuation of the sequel trilogy though; just hope nobody asks Rey her name. No: her last name). I think I’m most looking forward to the far-past movie than the others; I too think Filoni’s goal to make the trilogies cohesive with one another is dogmatic literalism of the least-fun-for-me degree.
