Just not feeling the new season of Stranger Things. We have half of the last episode to go...the fact that we chose going to bed over watching 34 more minutes is kind of telling - I'm just not riveted like I had been in other seasons.
Interesting take. We only have the last episode left and I would have probably stayed up WAY too late last night watching it if my wife was down, but we were responsible.

I've REALLY enjoyed this newest season so far.

Same here. So far the season is just not clicking for us and feeling very rote

I think it's partly because I just watched Saul and Severance and they were so excellent in my opinion, so, I guess many other shows pale for me in comparison.
And, I know the dialog is supposed to be throwback to cheesy 80s productions, but I'm wearing out on it.

We also just watched and loved Severance. It's funny because we had a different take on Stranger Things, we're enjoying the writing a lot. After watching the Marvel and Star Was shows (which we mostly enjoy) and some of the other more simply written "Make character do thing so thing happens" shows, Stranger Things feels like a breath of fresh air. There are no "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS STUPID THING?" moments. Yeah, it can be a bit cheesy and it's very nostalgia driven, but that's the point of it. It's an 80's memory bomb, in one episode you feel like you're watching The Goonies, Monster Squad, and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead, and I love it. But it's not for everyone, of course.

I felt the same, not sure when Eleven turned into Small Wonder too but it felt weird how robotic she was this season.

Dang, I thought the final 2 episodes were filled with this. Nancy and co. are basically running into the basement full of chainsaws over and over again. Also, kind of tired of El's double-hand technique essentially being this series' Spirit Bomb. Murray hard carried the season for me and he's only like 30 minutes of screen time.
wishing one of the plots wasn’t dragged out so much for all seven episodes.

The basketball player witch-hunt?

HBO Max is tops for me as far as content goes.

We Own This City was fantastic. Something about David Simon, policing, corruption, and Baltimore that reels me right in.

Halfway through the second season of Hacks and it's continuing the trend of being laugh out loud funny while striking some real notes too.

Going to work on the second season of The Flight Attendant as well.

Yeah, it’s my favorite streaming service by a mile.

It's also the only one I have now. 😁 I jettisoned Prime back in January and don't miss it one bit. I had Hulu for a few months to watch The Shield and Black Sails both of which are stellar. I haven't had Netflix in years (and it was a shared account to begin with).

There's so much freaking good TV at the moment I'd become a deer in headlights with more options.

Yeah, We have HBOMax, Netflix, HULU, Prime, Peacock, Paramount+, Disney+, WOW (RuPaul’s Streaming Service), MLB.TV, and PBS Passport. We also have cable. I should really prune away some of it, though the only streaming services I currently have that aren’t either Free or cost less than $10 a month are HBOMax and Netflix, of those we’d probably jettison Netflix if it were solely up to me, my SO really enjoys the trashy Netflix reality shows. She can’t get enough of that stuff.

As much as I loved S1 of Hacks, S2 might have surpassed it.
