I believe so, but I'll let someone who actually knows weigh in here. With the Beatles in Mono box, are the albums in the box the same as the standalone releases? If I were to buy a box missing some titles and could buy the missing ones solo, would it would be the same quality/pressing wise?
I was bidding on an incomplete Beatles in Mono box set so was just curious. Ended up losing and someone got a pretty reasonable deal on it!I believe so, but I'll let someone who actually knows weigh in here.
If I could find any of the mono releases out in the wild (not at a 2-4x markup), I'd be a happy camper.
Which ones are you looking for?I was bidding on an incomplete Beatles in Mono box set so was just curious. Ended up losing and someone got a pretty reasonable deal on it!
i have searched everywhere for any Beatles mono represses in the past 6 months or so. Nearly impossible to find anywhere...and I don’t wanna spend $100 on each title
Revolver, Let It Be and Abbey Road were the three main ones I wanted to grab. Of course three of the more popular ones haha.Which ones are you looking for?
Well, the last two aren't in mono so that should make it easier!Revolver, Let It Be and Abbey Road were the three main ones I wanted to grab. Of course three of the more popular ones haha.
I'm an idiot...those are the MoFi titles I was looking for. For mono, was looking for Revolver, Rubber Soul and Sgt Pepper.Well, the last two aren't in mono so that should make it easier!

It’s funny too cuz that rubber soul was around the longestOuch they are the three hardest to find! Particularly Peppers! White (because it was so damn expensive on release) and Mono Masters (which is a really brilliant compilation) are usually the easiest to find! The pressings in the box are identical to the individual ones too, they actually came out on the same day!

Both of those and mono masters around hereWas it? My local had copies of white up until last year because its list price was €60...
Yea...I may eventually give up on finding them. I was on an auction last night for an incomplete Beatles in Mono Box. It had "sealed" copies of Please Please Me, With The Beatles, A Hard Day’s Night, Beatles For Sale, and Magical Mystery Tour. It ended up selling for under $200. But I figure once I add trying to buy those other titles, it would still come out to around $500 or so.Ouch they are the three hardest to find! Particularly Peppers! I sold my pepper for about 200 quid. Some people will buy any old shite these daysI'm an idiot...those are the MoFi titles I was looking for. For mono, was looking for Revolver, Rubber Soul and Sgt Pepper.
haha yea. i'd never pay that for it. i think the MoFi ship has sailed for me on most of the Beatles MoFis to be honest.I sold my pepper for about 200 quid. Some people will buy any old shite these days
I liked the idea of having the monos. They just never ever got played. It was picking them up and not playing them for 3 years that made me realise that if its not Help, Revolver or the White Album (and Abbey Road in the stereo bundle) then I'm not that Beatles orientated anymore so I flogged mono Pepper and picked up a 50th in case I decide to give it a rare go. I didnt even bother getting cheapo stereo versions to replace the rest.haha yea. i'd never pay that for it. i think the MoFi ship has sailed for me on most of the Beatles MoFis to be honest.
Yea. I think I just want a few of either MoFi or the monos. But when I think about how often I might actually listen to them, might not be worth the pricing. Might just end up getting some high-res downloads.I liked the idea of having the monos. They just never ever got played. Revolver gets a fairly regular run out though. The Mono is great.
Weirdly though I listen to Ram loads. All Things Must Pass too (goes without saying though an i think that aside from the white album and revolver it slays every Beatles as a group album)... And I'm definitely partial to Band on the Run and Venus and Mars. There's a chance that maybe I just played them less in my teens so am happier to spin as an adult.Yea. I have a decent number of early MoFis and like them all, including Abbey Road. The ones I’m not sold on are the 200 Gram “Anadisc” from the late ‘90s. I like the new pressings too, save the MFSL/Silver Series which can be hit or miss.I have Abbey Road MoFi and I don't like it :/
Like it's ok..but not like the modern MFSL items I have. I personally prefer the newest remaster they've done.
