Honestly, I wouldn't mind they came out every 2 months instead of each month.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind they came out every 2 months instead of each month. Or even quarterly. There is just so much being pressed to vinyl now, it's hard to grab these excellent releases and everything else I want.

It's just my opinion, but the ones I spin most often are:

1. Lee Morgan - Cornbread
2. Grant Green - Born to Be Blue
3. Wayne Shorter - Etc.
4. Babyface Willette - Face to Face
5. Andrew Hill - Black Fire
6. Herbie Hancock - My Point of View

But really, you can't go wrong with any of the Tone Poets. I like all the titles I've gotten and I have 18 at this point. The only one I thought was just "fine" was The Prisoner, but even that was very good and at least artistically interesting.

I'd be interested in what other folks have as their Top 5s.

Nice list. I have a bunch as well, I'll try to make a top 5. But I really like Donald Byrd's Chant. The baritone sax on that album just doesn't let up! And I love it.

Well found, I have been waiting for some updates on this!

I said to myself that as long as I make the money through selling records and if it's no more than £200 I will get it at some point. Its always been a session that I have found to be really fantastic and to hear all the other music from the other nights is really exciting. I'm hoping there is a decent-sized booklet with it as well. Looking forward to seeing some photos of it.

It’s very possible they will have a Buy 2 get 1 free sale by the time this is out. That would bring the price down by $100. Just worth noting...buy two other box sets around that price and cancel the other two.
