Its crazy isnt it! I have been looking online for more info, or even somewhere else that has it listed and I cant find it anywhereIt’s kinda hilarious that Target is breaking all the news on a bunch of releases. I feel like they have done this a few times now—put up a preorder before it’s announced elsewhere officially
I have the 3 x CD version: Lee Morgan - Live At The LighthouseIt’s very possible they will have a Buy 2 get 1 free sale by the time this is out. That would bring the price down by $100. Just worth noting...buy two other box sets around that price and cancel the other two.
If my maths is correct, 33 tracks over 11LPs is 3 per LP. So either we have a few single track sides or they add additional material from before the Lighthouse residency. I have mentioned here before that the group recorded 2 weeks before at the 'Both / And Club' in San Francisco which was kind of a 'warm up' to the Lighthouse session. It was recorded for FM radio (so better audio quality than bootleg) and released in part over 2 albums (which are on 2 low budget labels). This would add up to an extra 10 tracks.Obviously we don't know exactly what's going to be included for certain, but if we assume this will be a 'Complete Sessions' package we can just look at the set-lists from his residency. So here are the tracks and the dates that the group played (presumably it will be in date order), it has been taken from Jeffrey S. McMillan's 'Delightfulee' book which is well worth reading:

Oh I don’t think it’s by mistake really as in it’s not a real product. I think they jumped the gun possibly. They did this on some of the John Prine reissues I believe too. Can't find anything anywhere. As @MikeH said, they might have added the record to their store by mistake.
but what if you've already run out of shelf space and have spilled right over to stacking boxes on the floor with duck-taped corners while your wife gives you hard side-eye and asks "how many records do you think you're going to buy this year?" -- then you're good, right?Like I said when the rumors of this boxset first started spreading: I just hope we're getting a Tone-Poet-Quality standard 2LP release of this record. I like quite a bit, but I don't need every tune they played at the Lighthouse, and I sure don't need 12LPs to fill up space in my shelves.
Anyone wonder what happens to all those returns?Anyone on this thread interested (and not already have) the BN 80 of Hub-Tones? Amazon warehouse has one "like new" for $10.68:

I'm in totally, this is smoking hot. Bennie Maupin is awesome.Have to admit -- I'm probably in. Does anyone have any details on it beyond the (very valuable, great) thoughts shared here.... Like a picture of what I'm buying?
The good news for you is that the number of records you think you're going to buy this year probably is lower than the number you actually will buy, so it's the best question your wife could pose to you! Of course from her perspective, that's also the bad news.but what if you've already run out of shelf space and have spilled right over to stacking boxes on the floor with duck-taped corners while your wife gives you hard side-eye and asks "how many records do you think you're going to buy this year?" -- then you're good, right?
it's okay?
we're good. we're good.
right? ah, to heck with it, I'm in anyway....have you seen the way 2021 is starting?
Is it Wednesday yet? I'm feeling like this week is going on forever
Placed an order for Byrd in Flight with uDiscover on the day Target canceled my order for it (12/4) and just received the album.Ha! Opposite of my emails today, one canceling Byrd, the other requesting that I approve a delay for Brooks.
I received the Brooks late last week.Byrd arrived today. Not sure if the Brooks actually was released early (less late)?
