Cornbread seems to have been selling good too. So did Et cetera (seen them out of stock and then back in stock and again OSS several times already). I hope the TP will keep being in print.

FYI, I wouldn't hold my breath for a summer re-print. The next TP have just been pushed back several month from their initial release date, so these older titles might have to wait a bit longer.

Yeah you might be right but I am nearly 100% sure it will be back, just not looking like it will be in the next few months.

I just got a copy of Etc on AU Amazon last week for AU45, about the cheapest it’s been, Chet will be repressed, don’t pay that for it, might have to wait but Joe Harley has said a few times that these will be in print for a while, I think RTI are just so backed up, which is why we are still waiting for 2021 release dates!

Still kicking myself for not grabbing the Tone Poet Chet Baker Sings.............talk me out or in to spending $140 on a sealed copy.

I always find it crazy how people stick to one website for buying records. I remember losing a bid on a jazz record on eBay that went for £155 (way over my £10 bid). After it sold I popped over to discogs and bought a copy for £10. Madness

I have a $100 hard limit on a lp if its something hard to get and I want it bad. Last one was Ike Quebec Soul Samba.

The Tone Poets and BN Classics will all be repressed, it is just COVID and pressing plants running over capacity is why we haven't seen them come back yet. Unfortunately it is pay through the nose now or wait likely several months (I don't see the represses happening until some level of normalcy returns).

Still nothing. On SHF they think that all the future releases have been pushed away due to Covid at Stoughton and RTI being overloaded with work.

It's never too late and even the OOS titles will be repressed soon or later. Welcome on board.

Between BN80, Tone Poets and now Classics there are a lot of amazing records. Been a real education for me in my first few years at Blue Note University

If you saw my post this week about Bluenote delaying shipment until June of my 5-item order from Nov. 2020, they did the right thing in response to my love letters to their customer service team.

They split the shipping, with 4 of 5 sent today, and Lee Morgan “Sidewinder” not coming until June (!).

If the initial press of Sidewinder is sold out then even June is optimistic since Blue Note seems to be having issues getting currently scheduled records pressed.

I think they should get them in at Optimal by then, I think the delays are all at RTI for the TP stuff.

I have bought so many BN titles lately. I totally thought it was a Tone Poet release. But yes, Optimal does not seem to be too slammed compared to RTI and Stoughton

No preorder for the March titles yet though! I think the previous titles were available at least 2 month before?

No full list yet (Sorry @Skalap), but Blue Note just announced the first new release to be part of the TP series: The aptly titled "Tone Poem" by Charles Lloyd.

So it looks like this will be somewhat groundbreaking in that it will be the first (and thus far only) Tone Poet release that's of a new recording. (Or have there been others?)
