I know this is kind of evil/negative of me, but I want to see them go out of business. And I say that as someone who owns 10+ of their pressings. The music matters reissues just restocked if anybody is interested. $90+ shipping
I think people would be saying it if AS originally sold it for $35 and started repressing and selling it for $100.You don't have to buy them . This is the world that we live in . How come people aren't saying that about $100 KOB ??
They really are milking the very last of the BNs while they can. I’m really glad BN started just doing the TPs and Classics on their own.I know this is kind of evil/negative of me, but I want to see them go out of business. And I say that as someone who owns 10+ of their pressings.
I understand the frustration. Especially as someone who loves some of these titles and missed the boat on a lot of MMJ 33 pressings. It’s annoying to see companies who do good work flipping their own product and pretty much saying “screw you” to their customers.Still why waste energy on worrying about it , what's the point ?
Those two series really show that MM is charging people up the ass for these last bit of records they can crank out. They really are milking the very last of the BNs while they can. I’m really glad BN started just doing the TPs and Classics on their own.
Man, I spent some great days in that store getting music to bring home. Whoever their buyers were they were the best!I remember finding this on a Japanese CD in the early 90's at the Virgin Megastore at the Louvre in Paris...with the ultimate in craziness a white tray holding the CD!!!
instant buy even though originals can still be found...
there was a post on another forum that Tone Poets are nearly all planned by Joe for the next three years! Those two series really show that MM is charging people up the ass for these last bit of records they can crank out.
Get the music into the hands of people who truly love it, not those with lots of cash laying around.
I lost all respect for them months ago when I noticed that they raised Lee Morgan’s Tom Cat’s price from the $75 it used to be to $125. So after shipping you are looking at $135 for one album!
That’s insane!!!
I'll say it if that makes it better. Any albums that cost that much are rip offs. You don't have to buy them . This is the world that we live in . How come people aren't saying that about $100 KOB ??
Nov 19 COh man? Is next month Joe Pass - Django? That’s been my most anticipated TP

33s of Night in Tunisia, Inner Urge, Solid and Adam’s Apple
I'm not proud of this, but I just rolled out of bed on Monday morning, realized MMJ did their restock two days late, and still managed to buy the ONE record (Inner Urge) that I wanted out of that drop. I almost wish they were all sold out, would've saved me a hundo. Can't help myself. I'm a broken man. Ruined by the dark forces of sweet sweet AAA jazz vinyl. I'm sure I'll be back in here at some point bitching about how expensive vinyl is.
