Well, personally I have answered that question on my set-up. So wasn't going to ask a rhetorical question.i guess my question is more whether theres a benefit to playing them with mono cart vs stereo cart. but cool he responded straight away in two hours! boomboom!
true! so maybe i just get some Y cables or the mono box i was eyeing from someone over at hoffmanWell, personally I have answered that question on my set-up. So wasn't going to ask a rhetorical question.
And he eludes to summing the channels with the pun. There are 3 ways to sum channels, which is really the bottom line.
@MikeH realizing just how easy it is to get in touch with KPG if he just emailed him at Cohearentthanks for reaching out to him!

That’s why I haven’t done the mono switch! But I have the Ultradeck and a Thorens and neither has a swappable headshell so haven’t gone the mono cart route. I do have quite a few old mono pressings that I’d love to tear a mono cart out with someday so if I ever swap tables I’d get one with a swappable headshellYeah, he seems like really good guy.
I think you'll notice some improvement with the cables, especially with older mono.
My OCD got to me and I didn't want any additional links in the chain so the G happened.
Sounds like you need a Technics, Pioneer, or ReLoop direct drive. That’s why I haven’t done the mono switch! Technics with a wooden plinth is probably my next turntable if/when I decide to move on from the UltradeckSounds like you need a Technics, Pioneer, or ReLoop direct drive.
This Technics 1500 in black looks so slick.

So cool. Thanks for sharing!!
And a different remaster from the one they did for VMP. Stanley Turrentine "Mr Natural" and Chet Baker "Sings and Plays" are other two TP for 2023.
These two are the first and to be released in February Andrew Hill "Dance With Death" and Carmell Jones "The Remarkable Carmel Jones".
It makes 5 releases so far.
My daughter got me that shirt and a copy of Smoke Stack for Christmas! So true! They did a shirt for Andrew Hill's Judgment! this year that looked pretty cool. I was tempted when I saw it, but couldn't bring myself to buy it because not only do I not own a copy, but I'd never even heard the album.
I mean, I agree but Blue Train holds a special place in my heart, it pretty much single handedly made me like the saxophone. Before I got into this record in college, I thought the sax was a squeaky version of nails on a chalkboard.I’ll give this album one more chance to add to the too many chances I’ve already given it. I mean it’s a good album, but John has so many great albums. I’ll take Giant Steps over this album anyday.
Wow, that’s great! I thought the tape was damaged on this one.And now 6 with Gil Evans - Great Jazz Standards
